Dr Rishi Is Gold Medallist At Wrightington Hospital

Dr Rishi Dhir was awarded the gold medal in July 2020, presenting work on ‘patterns of nerve injury and predictors of motor recovery in patients with infraclavicular brachial plexus lesions following anterior shoulder dislocation.’

Dr Rishi Dhir was awarded the prestigious John Charnley gold medal award in July 2020, presenting his work on ‘patterns of nerve injury and predictors of motor recovery in patients with infraclavicular brachial plexus lesions following anterior shoulder dislocation. This was at the internationally renowned Wrightington gold medal meeting. John Charnley is a pioneer of orthopaedic surgery worldwide and Dr Rishi described the award as a ‘massive honour’ and a ‘dream come true’ to see his name on the famous board in the famous centre for hip surgery at Wrightington hospital.

Due to the pandemic and COVID restrictions he was presented with the award in person on June 14th 2021.
